Methods of backing up the Content Store

IXIASOFT TEXTML Server supports multiple methods for backing up the Content Store.

The options include:
  • Using a file backup agent to create a full copy of a live Content Store
  • Using a volume snapshot of where the Content Store resides, either through the OS (Shadow Copy, LVM Snapshot) or the storage layer (SAN)
  • Using a local replicated Content Store.

Note: The Content Store cannot be backed up by directly copying the files in the data directory while the TEXTML service is running.
