Specify targeted translation languages for a deliverable

This procedure establishes the set of translation languages for a deliverable.

You can specify unique sets of translation languages for each deliverable (map) in a project. You may remove any (or all) of the default languages or add any number of additional languages.

  1. Expand the project, if necessary, to display its items.
  2. Expand the Deliverables item.
    The deliverable maps appear.
  3. Expand the map whose languages you want to specify.
  4. Right-click the Targeted Translation Languages item, and select Manage from the menu.
    The Language Selection dialog appears.
  5. Select the Display languages by group checkbox if you want your selections presented by linguistic families: e.g., Indo-European.
The specific languages and families are configurable and may vary.

  6. Select the translation languages for this deliverable.
The checkboxes for the default translation languages for the project will be selected. You may de-select these, if you wish.
  7. Click OK.
The selected languages appear as items with blue icons below the deliverable. If a deliverable has translation languages assigned in other projects, they will appear as items with green icons below the deliverable. These items are for information only and cannot be removed.
