Reporting application errors in the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop

When you report application errors in the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop, provide information such as the reproduction steps, the list of plugins installed, and copies of the logs.

Include the following information in the OTRS ticket:

  • Write down the steps required to reproduce the issue.
  • Export the configuration folder and Index Definition document and provide them as a .zip file.
  • Export a copy of the Eclipse error logs and include it as an attachment. Provide the time when the issue occurred.
  • Take a screenshot of the problem and include it as an attachment.
  • Create a document of the installation details by copying the configuration information from the Eclipse SDK Installation Details window.

Optional:

  • Provide copies of the topics and maps required to reproduce the problem.
  • Start the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop in debug mode and provide a copy of the DITA_CMS.log file from the workspace as an attachment.
  • In the case of a complete application crash, provide a copy of the hs_err_pidXXXX.log file, which is available in the Eclipse installation location; for example, C:\eclipses\production.
