Start IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop in debug mode in Citrix

You may need to start the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop in debug mode to troubleshoot your installation.

To start the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop in debug mode:

  1. Open your workspace folder. To find your workspace folder:
    1. In the IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop main menu, click Help > About Eclipse SDK
    2. Click Installation Details.
    3. Click the Configuration tab.
    4. Locate -data and copy the path directly following it.
      For example:
      . . .
      -data
      C:\CCMSUsersData\jdoe\workspaces\eclipse-prod
      . . .				
    5. Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog.
    6. Paste the path into the Open box and click OK.
      The file explorer window opens your workspace folder.
  2. Create an empty text file called debug.txt and save it in the workspace folder.
  3. Close your IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop.
    Note: Do not use Restart.
  4. Start your IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop.
    A command prompt opens. Do not close the command prompt.
  5. The command prompt displays the following message: Press any key to continue. Press ENTER.
  6. Reproduce the problem so the information can be captured in the debug.txt file.
  7. Close your IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop.
  8. Copy the ixiasoft_ccms.log files, paste them to a temporary folder, and compress them into a .zip file so you can send them to customer support.
  9. To stop debug mode, close your IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop, delete the debug.txt file, and start your IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop again.
