The catalogs collection

The catalogs collection in the Repository holds two catalog files that serve to point to, or integrate the DTDs and associated files that are used to validate your DITA content, specializations, and configuration.

The files are explained in the following sections.

catalog-cms-system.xml

This catalog contains a series of pointers to the DTD files that validate their corresponding system configuration files, in the Repository/system/conf collection. This catalog essentially enables the IXIASOFT CCMS to validate its own configuration.

master-catalog.xml

The root-catalog that oXygen points to (in the oXygen XML Catalog preferences) points to the master-catalog. This catalog in turn points to (out of the box) six other catalogs:

  • ../dtd/catalog-dita.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/dtd. It is the central catalog for the OASIS DITA DTDs.

  • ../plugins/com.ixiasoft.dita.dtd/catalog.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/plugins/com.ixiasoft.dita.dtd. It is the central catalog for integrating all of the IXIASOFT specializations such as the referable-content topic type, the Ixia localization domain (the ixia_locid attribute), and map specializations such as snapshot and build manifest.

  • ../plugins/org.oasis-open.dita.mathml.doctypes/catalog.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/plugins/org.oasis-open.dita.mathml.doctypes. It is one of the central catalogs for integrating the MathML domain.

  • ../plugins/org.w3c.mathml3/catalog.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/plugins/org.w3c.mathml3. It is one of the central catalogs for integrating the MathML domain.

  • ../plugins/org.w3c.svg1.0/catalog.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/plugins/org.w3c.svg1.0. It is the central catalog for integrating version 1.0 of the SVG domain.

  • ../plugins/org.w3c.svg1.1/catalog.xml

This is the catalog found in Repository/system/plugins/org.w3c.svg1.1. It is the central catalog for integrating version 1.1 of the SVG domain.

If you integrate your own specializations, you must reference them in the master-catalog.
