Add taxonomy terms to a single document as metadata

Use this procedure to add terms from the Taxonomy Terms list to the metadata section of a document.

The document must be locked.
The taxonomy terms are added to the <metadata> section of a document as either <category> or <keyword> elements, depending on how your system is configured.
Note: If you want to add keywords to the document's body, use the Add taxonomy terms to a single document as keywords procedure.
  1. Open the Select Taxonomy Terms dialog box, from within Oxygen XML Editor click Insert taxonomy as metadata icon.
  2. Select the terms you want to add to your document, then click OK.
    The selected terms are added as keywords at the cursor's position.
