You can remove a role, along with its associated document types and
        their respective timelines.

Ensure the role is not referenced by any of the system configuration files such as
                users.xml, accessrights.xml, projectconf.xml, and index definitions. Deleting a role
that is referenced by other files will corrupt the system configuration and prevent
                the CCMS from working.
Also ensure no users are assigned to objects in the role you are deleting. Use the
Search functionality to identify any such objects and remove the assignment. A
failure to remove the assignments before deleting the role can result in you no
longer being able to lock, edit, release, change status, or perform other actions on
                the object.
