Add a resource to a map

You can add a resource to a map in case it needs to be included in your documentation.

Note: This task show how to add a resource using the Content view in Map Editor. But you can also use the Structure view.

When you add a resource to a map, IXIASOFT CCMS Web creates a <topicref> element that references the resource. The <topicref> element also has the @processing-role attribute, for example:

<topicref keys="lar1409844676342" processing-role="resource-only"/>

To insert a resource:

  1. Find an existing object to insert the resource after.
  2. Hover over the title of the object.
    The mini toolbar appears.
  3. Click Insert Objects.
    The Insert Objects dialog appears.
  4. Use the Search to find the resource that you want.
    In IXIASOFT Dynamic Release Management, you are limited to inserting resources in the same Branch as the map and associated Library branches.
  5. Click the checkbox for the resource.
  6. Click Insert.

A new topicref is added in the target location for each resource that you selected.

The topicref element has a keyref attribute that references the resource.
