You can format tables using the Table Properties dialog.
When you insert a table in a topic using the Insert a Table icon on the Oxygen Web Author toolbar, IXIASOFT CCMS Web uses the following set of default properties to create the table:
2-columns
3-rows
A table title
A header row
You can use the other icons on the Oxygen Web Author toolbar to add or delete rows or columns. However, you must use the Table Properties dialog to edit other properties of a table, such as:
Text alignment
Borders
To edit the formatting of a table:
Right-click anywhere within the table, and select Table Properties.
The Table Properties dialog opens.
Note: If you want to change the properties of a row or a column, you must right-click within that row or column.
Change the table properties as needed.
Properties that you set at the table level (on the Table tab) cascade down to individual rows, columns, and cells. For example, if you set the alignment to center at the table level, then all table cells are also center-aligned.
Available properties differ on each tab. Here is a brief description of the available properties:
Property
Description
Horizontal alignment
The alignment of the text between the left and right margins of a table cell.
Column Separator
The vertical line between columns.
0 indicates no line
1 indicates a line.
The properties of the line (such as weight and color) are determined by the output formatting.
Row Separator
The horizontal line between rows.
0 indicates no line
1 indicates a line.
The properties of the line (such as weight and color) are determined by the output formatting.
Frame
The border around the outside edges of the table. The properties of the border (such as weight and color) are determined by the output formatting.
Note: Border combinations other than the ones shown in the drop-down list are not available in DITA.
Vertical alignment
The alignment of the text between the top and bottom margins of a table cell.
