How do I delete a workspace?

A new workspace for IXIA CCMS Desktop can be created by deleting the workspace folder.

Description

Over time a workspace may become unstable as plug-ins are added, upgraded, or removed.

Solution

  1. Release all documents locked by you.
  2. Find the location of your workspace:
    1. Click Help > About Eclipse Platform.
    2. Click Installation Details.
    3. Click the Configuration tab.
    4. Click Copy to Clipboard.
    5. Paste the content into a text editor like Notepad so you can search it.
    6. Search for osgi.instance.area to find the path to your workspace. For example: 
      osgi.instance.area=file:/C:/Users/jsmith/workspaces/Yourworkspace
  3. Close IXIA CCMS Desktop.
  4. Browse to the location and delete the workspace folder, since IXIA CCMS Desktop automatically creates a new one when you next start it.
