Set a context map for topics

Adding a topic to a map does not automatically make that map the context map for the topic in IXIA CCMS Web. You must still assign the map as the context map.

A context map provides assignees context when reviewing the topic, and it is also used to resolve keys in the topic.

To assign a context map for a topic:

  1. Open the map you want as the context map in DITA Map view.
  2. Select the topics you want to set the context map for.
  3. Right-click and select Assign to.
    The Assignments dialog appears. In the right pane, you can see any context map set for a topic in the Context column.
  4. In the right pane, select the topics you want.
  5. Right-click and select Set Context Map.
  6. In the Set a Context Map dialog, select the context map from the drop-down list.
    By default, the map you have open in DITA Map view is selected. But you can select other maps you have opened recently.
  7. Click OK.
  8. On the Assignments dialog, click OK.
