SSO impacts on user access
In an IXIA CCMS on-premise deployment that implements Single Sign-On (SSO), users who sign in to the company's identity provider also automatically sign in to CCMS Web. SSO does not impact connections to CCMS Desktop.
Important: You must add all users to the
users.xml file in the IXIA CCMS
configuration, regardless of whether or not you implement SSO.
			| Implementation | Access point | Required user action |
|---|---|---|
| SSO implemented for CCMS Web | Signed in to company's identity provider | Go to CCMS Web URL, which launches the home page, since sign in is automatic |
| Not signed in to company's identity provider | Go to CCMS Web URL, then click the provided link to sign in to CCMS Web using your company's identity provider | |
| No SSO for CCMS Web | Ready to sign in | Go to CCMS Web URL, then sign in |
| CCMS Desktop connection | Ready to sign in | Sign in, since SSO does not impact access to CCMS Desktop |
