Synchronizing configuration files

To apply the latest configuration updates made by an administrator, you must synchronize your system configuration files. Synchronizing copies the most recent version of the files onto your hard drive without having to restart Eclipse.

Each time a user starts IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop or connects to a server and Content Store, their individual configuration files are synchronized with the master configuration files in the Content Store's repository. However, if an administrator makes changes to the configuration while users are connected, they must synchronize their configuration manually to have the most up-to-date settings.

For example, the system administrator has added new users while you are working, so you synchronize your configuration to assign documents to them.

To synchronize your configuration, do the following:
  • From the menu bar, select IXIASOFT CCMS > Synchronize Configuration.
  • On the Global Actions toolbar, click the Synchronize Configuration button Sync system files.
  • Press CTRL+SHIFT+S.
Your local configuration files are synchronized with those in the Content Store's repository.
