Creating a map with stub topics

There are situations where you know topics will be required within a map but do not yet know what they will be called. In this case, create a map with empty topics, known as stub topics.

To create a map with stub topics:
  1. Click Hamburger menu, and select New Map.
The New Map page opens. If you want to exit it, click X.
  2. In the Title field, enter a descriptive name for the new map and click Next.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select a language and click Next.
  4. For the template, choose map with topic stubs and click Next.
  5. If you are using DRM, you must do the following:
    1. Select a product or library.
You can use the Search to find the correct one.
    2. Click Next.
    3. Select a branch.
  6. Click Create.
The new map appears in Map View, with a grayed-out topic.
  7. For the topic, click Actions and select Generate.
    A dialog appears.
  8. Click Generate.
You can rename this stub topic and add content to it. You can also add more topics to the map.
