Why doesn't IXIASOFT CCMS display the modification time in the right time zone with Citrix or RDP?

This occurs when the Time Zone Redirection option is not enabled in your server and the Java version is lower than 1.7.91.

Symptom

All the time information such as modification time, history time, and so on is displayed incorrectly in the IXIASOFT CCMS Eclipse Client. The time values are in the local time zone of the Citrix or RDP server instead of the local time zone of the Citrix or RDP client.

Problem

The problem occurs because of a Java bug (JDK-7044727 : (tz) TimeZone.getDefault() call returns incorrect value in Windows terminal session). Please see the Java bug for more information: http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7044727.

Solution

To resolve the issue, do the following:

Enable the Time Zone Redirection option in your server, see the following links:

Install a JRE version 1.7.91 or higher on the computer hosting your IXIASOFT CCMS Eclipse Client.
