Inform users to update

If you have chosen to deploy IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop directly to users' machines manually or via a network share, after you have updated the packages on the network share, you can provide instructions to users on how to trigger the update themselves.

If you use an automated deployment tool, you can skip this procedure. It applies only when you deploy manually or via network shared.

How to reinstall IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop in a single step:
  1. Ensure CCMS Desktop is closed.
  2. From the Start menu, click IXIASOFT CCMS, and then click Update IXIASOFT CCMS InstanceName where InstanceName is the new instance of CCMS Desktop that your administrator deployed.
    A command-line window opens.
  3. Wait until you see the following message:
    "Done DITA CMS InstanceName, Press any key to continue".
  4. Press any key to close the command-line window.
  5. Start IXIASOFT CCMS InstanceName.
