Reject an Approval

If you determine the content needs more work or changes are required, you can reject the Approval by moving it to Rejected status. But you must provide a reason when you reject an Approval.

Note: If your organization requires ID verification for Approvals, then you must authenticate your identity each time you approve or reject content.

To reject the Approval:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the My Assignments page, click Move icon.
    • On the Approval page, click Move.
  2. In the Move dialog, select Reject.
  3. In the Comment field, enter the reason that you are rejecting it.
  4. Click Move.

If the Approval does not require ID verification, the Move dialog closes.

If the Approval requires ID verification, complete the remaining steps.

  5. Enter your username and password again to verify your identity.
  6. Click Move.

You have finished your review and moved the Approval.

If other reviewers still need to review the Approval, the Approval remains on your My Assignments page. A check mark appears on the object icon for the Approval to indicate you are finished.

If enough reviewers have rejected or approved the Approval, it changes status and disappears from your My Assignments page. The review is done.
