A cross reference is an inline link that you can insert in a topic. 
		You must check out the topic.
		
			You can link to any of the following using a cross reference:
			
				- Another topic
- An element in another topic
- An element in another part of the same topic
Note: In 
IXIASOFT Dynamic Release Management, cross references can link from
                        one topic to any topic in either the same 
Context Map or the same 
Branch as the Context
                        Map. You cannot add a cross reference that links to a topic in a different
                        Branch.
 
			To create a cross reference:
 
		
		- 
				Put your cursor where you want to insert the cross reference.
				Alternatively, you can select text to turn into a link. 
- 
				Do one of the following:
				
					- Click  and select Cross Reference. and select Cross Reference.
- Right-click and select 
 
- 
				Find the topic or element that you want to reference using
					Search.
				You can use the drop-down list to limit the search
                        to topics in either the same Context Map or the same Branch as the Context
                        Map. 
- 
				From the search results, do one of the following:
				
					- To link to the topic, click the radio button for the topic.
- To link to an element in a topic: 
						- Expand the topic result to see all the elements you can link to.
- Click the radio button for the element.
 
 You can click any title or text snippet to see a preview of the topic or
					element you are linking to. If you click the snippet for an element, the element
					that you are linking to is highlighted in the preview. 
- 
				Click Insert.
				
					A link is inserted at the cursor's location. If you had selected text, it
						turns into a link. 
 
- (Optional): 
				Click in the link, and enter or edit the text that you want to
					appear for the link.
