Important Notes

  • Install and upgrade documentation is available to current customers on the Downloads website.
  • This build includes Oxygen 24.0 for CCMS Web and supports up to Oxygen 24.0 for CCMS Desktop. The minimum version supported for Desktop is Oxygen XML Editor 20.1. More details are in the Provisioning Requirements of our website.

Bug Fixes

IXIASOFT CCMS Web

  • [DEV-19293] Pushes to a delivery branch included cross-referenced topics at an initial workflow state. This has been fixed and the cross-referenced topic now blocks the push action.
  • [DEV-19290] Sometimes pushing a map to a delivery branch resulted in a blank page. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-19140] When a topic had a status of Authoring:work and a parent topic at Authoring:done, both topics had grey background shading in a Collaborative Review. This issue has been fixed and the topic at Authoring:work is now shaded in white.
  • [DEV-19045] In Structure view, the edit icon for topics at Authoring:readonly was not grayed out.
  • [DEV-19044] Sometimes an error dialog box in a Standard deployment used the DRM terminology “fork”. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18910 The CCMS Web Oxygen license for 2022 is included in this Service Pack.
  • [DEV-18795] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component in the Web installation script with version 2.17.1.
  • [DEV-18780] Forking a topic in CCMS Web that contained a conref with a self-reference prevented later status changes of the topic from Authoring:done to Authoring: work in CCMS Desktop. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18620] Using the REST API to set a user property did not create an entry in the Revision History. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18619] When forking a DRM topic in CCMS Web, the Original Filename value was not copied to the new instance. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18432] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component with version 2.17.1.
  • [DEV-18409] The Undo icon was not visible when editing a topic. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18210] CCMS Web allowed users to change the status of documents via the Deep Status Change action even though they did not have the rights enabled via DRM Security. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18064] In CCMS Web, some of the right-click menu options did not appear for related links. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17797] Collaborative Reviews created in CCMS Web had No comment in the assignment email instead of the user-entered comment. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17661] In the My Assignments page, the Due filter displayed assignments that had already been Marked As Finished. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17639] Sometimes a Sorry, load products did not work error appeared when searching for documents using the CCMS Web Advanced Search filters for DRM. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17535] Users were sometimes unable to add an annotation to a Collaborative Review and received a Maximum call stack size exceeded error in the browser console log. This issue has fixed.
  • [DEV-17474] Collaborative Reviews created in CCMS Web had the incorrect From username in the email notification. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17459] Dragging images from a desktop and dropping them into a topic created in an invalid image structure. This action is now prevented, and images must be added via the insert image method.
  • [DEV-17176] Image thumbnails were sometimes displayed in CCMS Web as gray boxes instead of the image preview. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17078] Copying images from Microsoft Word and pasting them into a topic created an invalid image structure. This action is now prevented, and images must be added via the insert image method.
  • [DEV-16953] When creating a Collaborative Review or generating output with the XHTML output format, table footnotes appeared at the end of the content instead of at the end of each topic when chunking was used. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-16917] The Table of Contents for Collaborative Reviews did not display topicheads. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-16162] In a DRM installation, build manifests sometimes lost their container relationship. The cause was related to actions taken in CCMS Web. This issue has been fixed. To repair existing containers, you can run the CCMSUtils DRM Container Analyzer.
  • [DEV-14303] If a topic was not assigned to a user, track changes was not automatically enabled when editing the topic. This issue has been fixed and track changes are now enabled regardless of the assignment.
  • [DEV-7355] Track changes was not enabled for a topic at revision 1 when assigned to a reviewer. This has been fixed.

IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop

  • [DEV-19040] With the AddIds trigger enabled for the release action, a topic that was cloned with the Open in default editor option did not have changes saved after releasing the topic. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18665] Forking a topic in CCMS Web that contained a conref with a self-reference prevented later status changes of the topic from Authoring:done to Authoring: work in CCMS Desktop. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18661] In CCMS Desktop, a change was made to how files are reimported. When Import as External is selected, documents at Authoring:readonly are updated and documents at other statuses are not.
  • [DEV-18658] In a Standard installation, users were unable to publish a map that shared topics with a previously published map. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18642] When a user with multiple roles created a new map, the map was randomly assigned to one of the user’s roles. The map is now assigned to an active role using alphabetical order.
  • [DEV-18547] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component for the TEXTMLadmin plugin. with version 2.17.1.
  • [DEV-18636] If a map had a previous snapshot, users were unable to create a new snapshot when the map had topic edits, but no map structure changes. This issue has been fixed and requires a configuration change. Contact Support for more details.
  • [DEV-18499] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component with version 2.17.1.
  • [DEV-18419] Adding a taxonomy term to a map using the Taxonomy view broke the structure of the map. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18310] In a Standard installation, the ability to perform the Publish action on localized content and have all the auto-translation translate=”no” attributes automatically removed has been implemented. This was a specific customer request and requires a configuration change. Contact Support for more details.
  • [DEV-17809] While in DITA Map view, moving topics or submaps with their children expanded sometimes causes a Java Null Pointer Exception error. This issue has been fixed.

IXIASOFT Dynamic Release Management

  • [DEV-16950] Sometimes the DRM Rename action did not completely rename the version. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-16216] Sometimes the DRM Rename action did not completely rename a version and the Dependencies view displayed the old version. This issue has been fixed.

IXIASOFT Output Generator

  • The 6.6 Output Generator uses Java 11, you must upgrade your current deployment to point to a Java 11 JDK.
  • [DEV-19206] Exporting a Collaborative Review did not include the annotations. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-18432] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component with version 2.17.1.
  • [DEV-18333] Generating an output failed in CCMS Web when topics contained the word error in the filename. This issue has been fixed.
  • [DEV-17978] If the Scheduler and the Output Generator services ran out of memory and had a Java heap space exception, the processes would hang and needed to be restarted. The services now fail so that monitoring system can detect the failure and automatically restart them.

IXIASOFT Scheduler

  • [DEV-8602] If the connection between TEXTML and Scheduler was lost, users had to manually stop and start the Scheduler service. This issue has been fixed and the Scheduler service now automatically recovers its connection.
  • [DEV-18729] This service pack fixes an error with the Scheduler scripts encrypt.sh and encrypt.bat from the previous service pack release.
  • [DEV-18499] This service pack replaces the Log4j Apache logging component with version 2.17.1.
  • {DEV-17978] If the Scheduler and the Output Generator services ran out of memory and had a Java heap space exception, the processes would hang and needed to be restarted. The services now fail so that monitoring system can detect the failure and automatically restart them.

TEXTML

  • [DEV-19182] User authentication failed for 4.4.1.5285 TEXTML installations on Linux servers. This issue has been fixed.

Known Issues

  • Opening maps with Oxygen DITA Map Editor using version 23 showed File not found validation errors for topicrefs. This happens the first time you open a map because the content is not synchronized to your workspace. If you open with XML Editor with resolved topics, the errors clear. To prevent performance issues downloading all the content to the user’s workspace, this issue will not be fixed in CCMS Desktop.
  • [DEV-13458] Customers that have set up the Output Generator to have additional libraries (jar files) for custom processing such as Fluid Topics, need to edit the numbering in the conf/client/classpath.conf configuration file to begin with either 200 or 300. For example, wrapper.java.classpath.200=../libs/fluidtopics/ftconnector.jar
