Break another administrator's lock on users.xml

If an administrator needs to change a setting in the users.xml file but another administrator has already locked the file, it is possible to break that lock in order to edit the file.

When there is more than one administrator for IXIASOFT CCMS, it is possible for one administrator to check out the users.xml file and keep it locked. When that happens, another administrator will see the following message within User Management: "users.xml is locked by [email] since [date]."

Note: Breaking the other administrator's lock on users.xml will erase any unsaved changes they have made to the file.

To break the other administrator's lock on users.xml, do the following.

  1. Click Break Lock.
  2. Place a checkmark in the "I understand" field. Click Break Lock.
A "Lock has been broken" message appears.
The other administrator's lock on users.xml is broken, and it is now ready for editing.
