Roles for maintaining IXIASOFT CCMS

The maintenance tasks required to keep the components running smoothly may fall under the responsibility of one or more individuals in your enterprise.

Since each enterprise functions differently, many people may share the same role or one person may have many roles. Regardless of how the roles or tasks are divided, each person must coordinate their activities with the others since modifications done by one may significantly affect the others.

The typical roles are:

  • Administrator: This role mainly involves configuring and managing IXIASOFT CCMS. It may include responsibilities such as handling the content architecture and modeling, or being the DITA champion who develops and communicates the vision for the content to both management and the technical writing group.
  • Toolsmith: This role involves performing the updates and upgrades on the components, and handling the scripting, XSLT, and CSS needs of the group.
  • Corporate IT Specialist: This role includes implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the information technology (IT) systems for the enterprise.
