This section provides a starting point for working with IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop.
Searches and queries
IXIASOFT CCMS has features that you can use to search the repository for documents or search and replace text within these documents.
Working with queries
Queries are sets of search parameters that you can save and reuse. You can edit and save any queries that you create.

        Unlike a personal query, a Textml query can be run quickly without first loading the search criteria into the Search view.

        You can reload all the criteria of a recent search, without having to enter them manually.
      - Editing a personal Textml query
        Use this procedure to modify your personal Textml queries.
      - Deleting a query
        If you no longer need a query, you can delete it.
      - Shared queries
        You can share your favorite personal and personal Textml queries with any of the configured roles or groups on your Content Store. You can also see queries that other users have shared with you.
    - Standard search operators and wildcards
      You can use standard search operators and wildcards in the Search for field or in entry fields in the Advanced Search to refine your search criteria.
    - Searching within a sub-tree
      You can search for topics within a specific sub-tree of a map that is open in DITA Map view.
    - Searching the XML content of a map
      You can quickly search through the content of documents in a map, including the XML elements and attributes.
    - Search and replace the XML content of a map
      You can search and replace XML text strings within the topics of a map.
    - Applying XSL transformations to one or more topics
      You can use the Search and Replace feature to apply a different XSLT to one or more topics on the fly.

      You can find out where a topic is in the map that you have open in DITA Map view.

      When you locate documents or append search results, the results are stored in separate lists. This way both searches are maintained, and the Search Results view does not automatically discard the results of the last search.

      The functions in the Search Results view apply to all the results in the window, including all documents that you have located and appended search results.

      Use the buttons in warning dialog boxes to locate the documents that caused the error.
