Revert to specific revision

You can use the Revision History page to revert a map or topic to any of its past revisions. Reverting an object creates a new revision that is a copy of that past revision.

Objects must be checked in and in their initial status (such as Work) to revert them in the Revision History page.

On other pages in IXIASOFT CCMS Web, you can revert checked out objects to only the last revision that was checked in. This discards all your changes since checking out that object.

Using the Revision History page, you can revert a checked in object to any previous revision of an object that was checked in. You can use this to roll back changes made to the object, and restore it to any previous revision.

Note: When reverting to a previous revision, the current revision is never overwritten. CCMS Web creates a new revision that is identical to the old revision you selected. This restores the old content while preserving the content in all revisions.
  1. On the Revision History page, find the revision that you want to revert back to.
Tip: You can compare revisions to see what each revision contains before reverting.
  2. For the revision, click Revert To icon.
  3. (Optional): Add a comment about why you are reverting the object.
  4. Click Revert To.
A new revision is created in the Revision History page. The content is identical to the old revision that you selected.
