Add taxonomy terms to a single document as metadata

Use this procedure to add terms from the Taxonomy Terms list to the metadata section of a document.

The document must be locked.

The taxonomy terms are added to the <metadata> section of a document as either <category> or <keyword> elements, depending on how your system is configured.

  1. Open the document in Oxygen XML Editor.
  2. In Text mode or Author mode, right-click anywhere in the document, then select IXIASOFT CCMS > Insert Taxonomy Metadata.
    The Select Taxonomy Terms dialog box opens.
  3. Select the terms you want to add to your document.
  4. Click OK.
    The selected terms are added to the <metadata> section.
