Remove default role assignments

This procedure removes team members from their role assignments in the project.

Use this procedure when you want to remove a team member from a specific role in a project. This will not remove them from the team, nor will it affect their other role assignments.

  1. Expand the project, if necessary, to display its items.
  2. Expand the Default Role Assignment item.
  3. Expand the Role item (Editor, for example) to display the assigned team members.
  4. Click the team member(s) you want to remove.
    You can select several team members by holding down CTRL or SHIFT and clicking the team members.
  5. Right-click, then select Remove from the menu.
The selected team members are removed from the Role item. If you remove all items from a Role, the Role item itself will disappear.
Note: Changing someone's role assignment does not change document assignments. If you want to reassign documents to other team members, you'll need to do it through the Assignments dialog.
