Back up a docbase

Docbases can be backed up manually by using the Administration Console or with a script. Automatic backups (through replication) can also be set up through the Administration Console.

Docbase administrators may wish to back up a docbase manually before performing operations such as defragmenting a docbase or to preserve data when replication is not set up. This section describes how to back up a docbase manually, through a script or the Administration Console.

To set up replication, see the replication section.

Note: In TEXTML Server 4.0 and later, users can perform backups even while the TEXTML Server is operating.
